Dior Addict Eau de Parfum is a glossy, sensuous floral oriental, opening on tart blackcurrant-adjacent blackberry and mandarin leaf before a rich white floral heart of jasmine, rose and orange blossom settles onto a warm vanilla-tonka-sandalwood base. It has real depth and is prized for feeling both sweet and elegant rather than simply sugary. This oil keeps the blackberry-vanilla shape recognisable but loses most of the floral complexity in between: the jasmine and orange blossom blur together into a generic white floral note rather than the original's layered bouquet, and the vanilla-tonka base arrives earlier and dominates for most of the wear. The result is a pleasant, straightforwardly sweet gourmand floral that reads more one-note than the real thing, without the original's slow build or its glossy sandalwood finish.
