Bloom

Gucci Bloom is built around a heady white floral bouquet of jasmine, tuberose and rangoon creeper, opening lightly green before the tuberose takes over with a creamy, powdery richness that many describe as walking through a garden in full bloom. Inspired By Bloom sets out the same core florals, jasmine and tuberose front and centre, supported by orange blossom and ylang-ylang, and the citrus opening of grapefruit and black currant is a fair, if brighter, echo of the original's start. The gap shows in texture: where Gucci's version feels dense and creamy thanks to a rich sandalwood-musk base, this oil version renders those same base notes - sandalwood, cashmeran, musk - as a much lighter, thinner presence, so the white florals never quite achieve the same lush, three-dimensional feel. It also fades noticeably sooner than the six-to-eight-hour original. Fans of the jasmine-tuberose pairing will recognise the bones of Bloom here, just in a softer, shorter-lived form.
