HB320 Boss Bottled

Hugo Boss Bottled has been a boardroom and first-date staple since 1998, built on a juicy apple and plum opening over a spiced cinnamon heart, finished with a smooth vanilla, sandalwood and cedar base. HB320 replicates the same structure note for note on paper: apple, plum, lemon, bergamot, oakmoss and geranium up top, cinnamon, mahogany and carnation in the heart, vanilla, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and olive tree underneath. The apple-plum opening is genuinely close and recognisable within the first ten minutes. The gap shows in the drydown, where the original's carefully blended, slightly powdery woody-vanilla base gives way here to a flatter, sweeter finish that loses the sandalwood's texture. It performs adequately for a few hours of office wear but won't carry through a full evening the way the original does.
