Les Indémodables Chypre Azural is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2016, created by Florence Fouillet Dubois. Les Indémodables's Chypre Azural carries a Favourite verdict, a fresh-led wear.

Don't let the 'chypre' in the name fool you, this is a masterful, intensely realistic orange scent. It's a polarizing take for some, who find it too linear or bitter, but if you love citrus, this is a must-try for its exceptional quality and surprising longevity.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Chypre Azural bursts open with a hyper-realistic Sicilian orange, zesty and bitter like freshly torn rind, not sweet or candied. This vibrant citrus is underpinned by a subtle, aromatic tarragon note, adding a green, slightly aniseed edge. As it settles, a delicate Egyptian rose emerges, structural rather than prominent, supporting the citrus. The base reveals a refined patchouli and a whisper of amber, providing an elegant, almost chypre-like depth without heavy oakmoss, grounding the bright opening.
