Lush Butterball is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2018. Lush's Butterball carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

Divisive AF, Butterball is either a dream of creamy, cosy cocoa butter and sweet ylang-ylang or a rancid nightmare of sour milk and mildew. You'll either adore its unique, comforting warmth or be utterly repulsed; there's no middle ground here.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter
Also Works:
Spring

Versatile across every season - no clear seasonal preference from wearers.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Casual
Also Works:
Date

Its moderate sillage and longevity make it suitable for casual wear and dates, as it won't overwhelm. However, its polarising nature and comforting, intimate scent profile make it less ideal for formal settings or an office environment where a universally pleasing aroma is often preferred.

About

Butterball opens with a curious, almost powdery sweetness, mingling hints of chocolate and sugar that lean more towards a comforting cocoa butter than a rich dessert. As it settles, the exotic, creamy floral lift of ylang-ylang emerges, weaving through a soft, musky base. The overall effect is a warm, skin-like embrace, delicate yet distinctively sweet and powdery.
