Lush Devil's Night Cap is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2012, created by Mark Constantine and Simon Constantine. Lush's Devil's Night Cap carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

This is a love-it-or-hate-it beast. If you're after a genuinely earthy, damp forest floor scent with an undeniable mystical aura, and can handle a challenging opening, then Devil's Night Cap is your dark, mossy dream come true. Otherwise, avoid.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Devil's Night Cap opens with an almost overwhelmingly bitter, metallic blast of pure oakmoss, like an ancient, rain-soaked forest floor. As it settles, the astringent edge softens, allowing hints of aromatic clary sage to emerge, mingling with the deep, woody earthiness of oak. A subtle creaminess from ylang-ylang and a touch of orange blossom weave through, adding a quiet, almost melancholic floral whisper to the otherwise profoundly green and damp composition. The scent finishes with a comforting, smoky whisper, evoking fallen leaves and distant bonfires.
