Luxe Fragrances Hermes is an Eau de Parfum. Hermes opens with Orange and Grapefruit, settles into a heart of Geranium and Pepper, and dries down to a base of Cedar, Vetiver, and Patchouli. Luxe Fragrances's Hermes carries a Statement verdict, a citrus-led wear.

This dupe keeps the orange-to-cedar-vetiver arc that defines Hermès Terre d'Hermès, but the mineral flint accord and dry, parched earthiness that give the original its modern-classic status are replaced with a more conventional, softer citrus-woody finish.

About

Inspired by Terre D'Hermes is Luxe Fragrances' version of Hermès' Terre d'Hermès, the 2006 modern classic built on orange and grapefruit over pepper, geranium and a distinctive flinty mineral accord, resting on cedar, vetiver, benzoin and patchouli. The dupe opens with an orange-grapefruit citrus burst, moving into a black pepper-geranium heart before settling on cedar, vetiver and patchouli. The citrus-to-woody journey mirrors the original's overall shape, and the vetiver-cedar base gives a fair, if simpler, echo of Terre d'Hermès's earthy signature. What is missing is the flint - Jean-Claude Ellena's famous mineral accord that gives the real fragrance its parched, almost concrete-like character alongside the citrus and vetiver, a facet widely regarded as what sets it apart from every other citrus-woody men's fragrance. Without that mineral dryness, this dupe reads as a more generic, rounder citrus-woody scent rather than the genuinely distinctive, earthy composition Hermès is known for. Performance runs four to six hours with moderate projection, shorter than the original's reported six-to-eight-hour average. A solid, wearable citrus-woody option for daily use, without the mineral complexity that makes Terre d'Hermès a modern classic.
