Mabelle O'Rama Lunar Dust is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2022, created by Mabelle O'Rama. Mabelle O'Rama's Lunar Dust carries a Statement verdict, a woody-led wear.

A cool, powdery skin scent of iris and white woods with cedar and a soft amber glow, written without a top note. Ethereal and molecular, best in autumn and winter, close to the skin; loved by most, barely there to a few.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Lunar Dust is the first fragrance the maker introduced to the world, a sensual, woody skin scent inspired by the moon's cool, powdery surface and its warm, lunar glow. It began as a scent made for the maker's own use in the early days of perfumery training, chasing the stillness of a dark sky. It does not follow the classical fragrance structure and has no top note. Shimmering iris gives way to the warmth of amber and cosmic white woods, with cedar. Wearers describe a cold, cosmetic powdery iris, dry cold woods that are totally moon dust, and then a slow warming into something earthy. The white woods are the element that polarises: some find an ethereal, sparkly skin scent, others a minimal one that never quite takes effect, and several liken it to Molecule 01. Performance is moderate on wear and soft on projection. Most reports call it a skin scent whose presence is not strong, though some get a nice six hours or more. It leads in autumn and winter, holds in spring, and is quiet enough for the office and everyday wear. The brand sells the 50 ml bottle at 115 pounds and most voters call that fair or good value. It suits wearers who like a minimal, molecular iris and white wood and want something that sits close, and less those who want projection.
