Mabelle O'Rama Phoenix Flame is an Extrait de Parfum launched in 2024, created by Mabelle O'Rama. Phoenix Flame opens with Cardamom, Cinnamon, and Sumac, settles into a heart of Immortelle and Lavender, and dries down to a base of Amber, Oud, Patchouli, and Myrrh. Mabelle O'Rama's Phoenix Flame carries an Acquired verdict, a sweet-led wear.

A smoky amber-incense extrait led by tangy sumac, cinnamon and cardamom over frankincense, myrrh and natural oud. Dense and commanding, best on autumn and winter evenings; loved by most, a lot for a few.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

Evenings and nights lead every vote: it is made for dressing up and going out, and it reads as a statement. Daytime and office wear are possible with a light hand, and sport is out.

About

Phoenix Flame is an aromatic amber and incense story built around the myth of the phoenix and the resilience of Lebanon, the maker's homeland. It took nearly two years and many versions to reach its final form, and it was meant to be grounding: an ode to roots, with a sense of strength for moments when everything feels uncertain. Sumac leads. The maker sourced the berries from growers in Lebanon and made her own tincture, and the result is tangy, earthy and a little lemony, a sharp edge that keeps the spices from turning sweet. Cinnamon and cardamom give heat rather than sugar, and immortelle sits at the heart as a dry, herbal contrast. The base is frankincense, myrrh and a smooth, mineral natural oud, warmed by amber. Wearers describe smouldering resin, a spice market, an ancient tomb, or a church where the censer is in full swing. A little lavender and patchouli sit in the background. This is an extrait and it behaves like one. Most reports call it long lasting with moderate projection, close and warm rather than loud, though the resins are dense and a few find them overpowering. It belongs to autumn and winter, and to evenings and nights out far more than to the office or the gym. The brand sells the 50 ml bottle at 130 pounds, and most voters call that fair. It will suit wearers who like incense, resin and spice with a distinctive twist, and less those who want something light.
