About

Monocline 01 is a single note, Iso E Super, and it smells like one. Picture the dry, slightly mineral scent of a freshly planed cedar board, with a faint spicy dryness at the edge. There is very little movement. It is largely linear, smooth and woody, with a musky, amber-like warmth that never gets heavy. Its presence is soft and middling, so it sits close to the skin and does not overpower. That makes it useful as a quiet daily scent, or as a base layer to add depth under a sweeter fragrance. As a solo perfume it is understated, and not the choice for a formal evening.
