Marien Elixir is an Eau de Parfum. Elixir opens with Caraway and Lemon, settles into a heart of Lemon Verbena, and dries down to a base of Ambergris. Marien's Elixir carries a Statement verdict, a green-led wear.

Marien Elixir is the line's herbal-green outlier: caraway and lemon up top, verbena holding the heart, and ambergris in the base. A modern green-aromatic that runs against the brand's oud-amber spine.

About

Elixir is the most unusual entry in the Marien range: where Century, Limited Edition, and C'est La Vie sit in the oud-amber-tobacco oriental tradition, Elixir runs the brand's stated 'classic green notes with a modern twist' direction. Caraway opens the perfume - a herbal-bread-and-aniseed top note rare in mainstream perfumery - alongside lemon for the bright citrus lift. The heart is verbena-led: the lemon-grass-green-herbal flavour that gives Elixir its central freshness. There is no floral or fruity heart here - the composition stays in the green-herbal register from top to dry-down, which is unusual for the brand. The base anchors in ambergris, the brand's preferred warm-saline base for several of its lighter releases. At Marien's 25-30 percent oil load the dry-down runs long, but the projection stays softer than the oud-heavy siblings - more diffuse-aromatic than commanding. Composition is unisex by design and works year-round, with strongest fit in warm-but-not-hot weather where the verbena-and-caraway lift shows best. The note list is small (caraway, lemon, verbena, ambergris) and the description should be read as accord-driven rather than full-pyramid; the brand's published pyramid for Elixir is sparser than most of its line.
