Wales Perfumery Cornovii is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2025, created by Louise Smith. Cornovii opens with Pomelo, Water Accord, Bergamot, and Lemon, settles into a heart of Bay Leaf, and dries down to a base of Frankincense. Wales Perfumery's Cornovii carries an Acquired verdict, a fresh-led wear.

A bright, sparkling citrus Eau de Parfum with bay leaf and a water accord over frankincense. Wearers split between generic summer freshness and a distinctive Mediterranean feel.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

Cornovii is an Eau de Parfum from Wales Perfumery's Celts range. It is named for the Cornovii, the Cornish tribe whose merchants carried tin and linen across the sea to the Mediterranean and came home with wine, gold and olives. The scent aims for that warmth and light. The top is a bright run of pomelo, lemon and bergamot over a clear water accord. Bay leaf in the heart gives it a dry, herbal edge, and frankincense underneath adds a faint resinous calm. It is unsweet and aquatic, more shoreline than garden. The wearers who have written about it do not agree. One found it an unsweet aquatic citrus that turned into a generic summer scent. Another described a bright Mediterranean impression, compliments, and a scent that survived two showers. With reports this far apart, how distinctive it is and how long it lasts remain open. Cornovii suits wearers who want a sunny, dry citrus with a little herbal bite and no sugar. Because the written impressions point in different directions, a sample will show which of the two you get.
