Forest

Forest is an Eau de Parfum from Wales Perfumery's Natur collection, inspired by the old woodlands of Wales: the forest floor, moss on oak trunks and the damp earth of autumn. The top mixes apple with oak and moss. In the heart, fir and saffron bring resin and a little spice, and the base is built from sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and patchouli. It is deep and grounded, a scent about woodland rather than a bouquet of flowers. Five wearers have written about it and their impressions differ. They describe a woody opening with a sweet, musky edge, a forest-floor feel and a later sweetening. Some call it long-lasting and projecting. Another finds it sharp and piercing, with the sweet edge dominating. That spread means the character is clear enough to describe but its strength and appeal are not settled. Forest suits wearers who want a mossy, resinous wood scent with a little warmth. Because opinions on the sweetness vary, a sample on skin is worth wearing for a full day before committing to a bottle.
