Inspired by L'eau Ambree is Match Fragrances' budget reading of Prada's 2009 L'eau Ambree, the Daniela Andrier rose-amber composition that became Prada's signature soft-amber feminine. Match's pyramid mirrors the original community pyramid: bergamot, mandarin and neroli on top, a may rose-jasmine heart, and an amber-patchouli-vanilla-opoponax close. The first hour is the strongest match: bergamot, mandarin and neroli lift bright with the trademark citrus-floral-amber impression arriving within minutes. By the heart the may rose deepens with jasmine softening it. The dry-down trades on amber as the soft-warm anchor, with patchouli, vanilla and opoponax rounding the close. Performance is the budget compromise: four to six hours of moderate sillage. The character is amber-rose-floral feminine, with autumn, winter and date the strongest seasons. The honest caveat: at fifty millilitres for under thirty pounds, the Prada's polished rose-amber depth is softened here.
