MATCH Perfumes The Noir 29 - No.32 (NEW) is an Eau de Parfum. The Noir 29 - No.32 (NEW) opens with Bergamot, Bay Leaf, and Fig, settles into a heart of Musk, Cedar, and Vetiver, and dries down to a base of Black Tea and Tobacco. MATCH Perfumes's The Noir 29 - No.32 (NEW) carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

A flatter, louder take on Le Labo's cult Thé Noir 29 - the fig and bay leaf opening lands with more immediate punch, but the tea-and-tobacco heart fades faster and skips the original's slow-building complexity, trading nuance for an easy, wearable everyday version.

About

Match Perfumes' No.32 leans hard into the fig-and-bergamot opening that made the Le Labo original a cult favourite, and it's a fair opening act. Where it diverges is depth: the cedar-vetiver-musk heart arrives quicker and flatter, without the slow tension between fig sweetness and dry black tea that defines Thé Noir 29. The tobacco base is present but thinner, dissipating within a few hours rather than lingering into a smoky dry-down. Projection is decent for the first hour then drops to a skin scent. It's a reasonable everyday stand-in for anyone who loves the top notes and doesn't need the original's slow-burn complexity or all-day longevity, but it won't fool anyone who knows the real thing well.
