Oakcha City Explorer is an Extrait de Parfum. City Explorer opens with Cinnamon, Coriander, and Juniper, settles into a heart of Sandalwood, Lavender, Ginger, and Rosemary, and dries down to a base of Vanilla and Tonka Bean. Oakcha's City Explorer carries a Favourite verdict, a sweet-led wear.

A spiced, herbal sandalwood scent with cinnamon and juniper up top and a sweet tonka and vanilla base. Oakcha's take on Original Santal, for anyone who wants a cosy, aromatic wood.

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

About

City Explorer is a sandalwood scent with a lot of kitchen-garden character. It is aromatic, a little sweet and easy to like. The opening is dry and spicy. Cinnamon gives a warm tingle, coriander adds a citrus-peel brightness and juniper berry brings a cool, gin-like sharpness. Together they make a lively first impression. Sandalwood leads the heart, creamy and smooth. Around it, lavender and rosemary add clean herbal freshness, ginger adds a zesty warmth, and orange tree absolute gives a soft, bittersweet citrus-blossom note that ties the spice to the wood. The base is short and sweet: tonka bean and vanilla. They add a gentle, almondy comfort rather than a heavy dessert feel. At extrait strength it wears well past the working day and stays close and warm. It suits anyone, on cool mornings, autumn walks and relaxed evenings, and it layers easily under a coat or scarf. Oakcha no longer sells City Explorer (its page has been removed from oakcha.com), and this page records it for owners. Bottom line: a friendly, herbal-spiced sandalwood with a vanilla finish.
