Cloudburst

Cloudburst is built for clean air and open space. It is a short, focused composition, and that keeps it clear. Three citrus notes start it: grapefruit, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian lemon. Grapefruit gives a bitter, juicy edge, bergamot gives a polished sweetness and lemon gives a sharp, zesty snap. The mix is bright and a little salty-sharp, like cold air after rain. Sandalwood is the only heart note, and it is enough. It is soft and milky, and it rounds off the citrus before the dry-down arrives. The base pairs musk and ambergris with cedarwood. Ambergris adds a mineral, faintly salty warmth, musk makes it smooth, and cedarwood adds a dry, pencil-like structure that keeps the whole scent upright. As an extrait it lasts well and stays tidy.
