Beautiful Smell is Perfume Parlour's take on Issey Miyake's A Scent, a minimalist, transparent green floral inspired by Japanese mountains. It opens crisp and fresh with Amalfi lemon and lemon verbena, then reveals a clean floral wave of jasmine and hyacinth threaded with green galbanum and a soft Virginia cedar that adds a balmy, faintly warm trail. As a budget interpretation it captures the original's pared-back, clear-as-water character and the green-floral freshness well, but renders the blend flatter and simpler, and the projection and longevity sit below the designer's already-light performance. A clean, uplifting feminine for warm-weather daytime, the office and easy casual wear.
