Citrus Coffee Rush chases Akro's Awake, the Olivier Cresp citrus-gourmand built around a realistic coffee note. It opens bright and sharp with Italian lemon and a green-leaning cardamom, that energising, almost-zingy start the original is known for. The heart is pure coffee - warm, roasted and smooth, with gently milky facets and very little bitterness, exactly the Awake signature. A dry Haitian vetiver grounds the base and keeps the whole thing from turning syrupy. Both share the same four-note backbone. Where this version diverges, it pushes the coffee a touch sweeter and louder while the original's complex, shifting development - citrus, honeysuckle, chocolate facets emerging over hours - reads simpler and more linear.
