Craze

Perfume Parlour Craze is an Eau de Parfum launched in 1986. Craze opens with Cinnamon, Grapefruit, Mandarin, and Lavender, settles into a heart of Carnation, Jasmine, Rosewood, and Sage, and dries down to a base of Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vetiver, and Musk. Perfume Parlour's Craze carries a Statement verdict, a warm spicy-led wear.

Craze chases Calvin Klein's Obsession for Men - the warm, spicy oriental fougere of cinnamon and carnation over amber, vanilla and woods. It captures that seductive, barbershop-warm signature, but renders it flatter and lighter, with the original's rich, layered drydown simplified and projection pulled in.

About

Craze opens spicy and bright: cinnamon and coriander woven through a citrus lift of grapefruit, mandarin and bergamot with an aromatic lavender, the same warm-fougere entry that defines Obsession for Men. The heart turns floral-spicy with a classic carnation, a soft jasmine, rosewood, sage and nutmeg, plus a hint of red berries for a touch of sweetness. The dry-down is the heart of it - earthy patchouli, sandalwood and vetiver wrapped in warm amber, vanilla and musk, building that deep, sensual oriental finish the original is loved for. Against the genuine CK it is less rich and less tenacious: the amber-vanilla base reads thinner, the spices flatter, and projection stays moderate, settling skin-close within a few hours rather than filling a room. Still, the seductive, spicy-warm mood comes through faithfully. It trades the original's depth and longevity for budget value, best in autumn and winter for evenings, dates and cozy occasions.
