Perfume Parlour Evening Gold is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2010. Evening Gold opens with Cumin, settles into a heart of Rose, Ylang-Ylang, and Honey, and dries down to a base of Cedar, Sandalwood, Benzoin, and Incense. Perfume Parlour's Evening Gold carries an Acquired verdict, a amber-led wear.

A spicy, honeyed take on MFK Absolue Pour le Soir - cumin and white honey wrapped in incense, rose and sandalwood. Perfume Parlour keeps the animalic-amber idea but tames the original's notoriously wild, sweaty opening and trims its outstanding projection.

About

Evening Gold leads with the divisive signature of Absolue Pour le Soir: a sweaty cumin and rich white honey accord that immediately reads warm, animalic and grown-up. Incense and a tobacco-like rose add depth through the heart, while ylang-ylang lends a creamy floral lift. The base settles into benzoin, sandalwood and Atlas cedar for a resinous, ambery glow. Compared to the MFK, Perfume Parlour reins in the original's wild, almost feral opening, so it comes across smoother and a touch sweeter, and the legendary projection is dialled down to something more wearable. It still leans bold and sensual rather than safe. Longevity is good for the price though shy of the original's hours-long sillage. A rich, spicy amber best saved for cool-weather evenings, date nights and confident formal wear.
