Forever Violet

Perfume Parlour Forever Violet is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2003. Forever Violet opens with Green, Floral, Fruity, and Water Lily, settles into a heart of Plum, Freesia, Peach, and Heliotrope, and dries down to a base of Woody, Almond, and Musk. Perfume Parlour's Forever Violet carries a Favourite verdict, a floral-led wear.

Forever Violet chases Calvin Klein Eternity Purple Orchid's watery fruity-floral and lands the candied plum-and-peach heart well. It reads flatter and a touch more synthetic than the original, but the soft, soapy orchid haze is convincingly there for a budget bottle.

About

Forever Violet opens on a cool, watery wash of green and floral notes with a dewy water lily, echoing the airy start of Calvin Klein Eternity Purple Orchid. The heart is where it blooms, candied plum and white peach turning jammy against freesia, heliotrope and a soft orchid, giving that signature flowery, faintly gourmand sweetness. The drydown settles into a soapy, skin-like finish of woody notes, almond and clean musk. The original was already a soft, easygoing performer; this Perfume Parlour version tracks the same watery-fruity-floral arc but reads lighter and more transparent, with the fruit a little sweeter and the projection sitting close to the skin within an hour or two. It is at its prettiest in warm weather, an undemanding, romantic everyday floral for spring and summer days, casual outings and easy dates. A faithful, affordable nod to a discontinued cult fruity-floral.
