Perfume Parlour Grassy Flower is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2012. Grassy Flower opens with Vetiver and Geranium, settles into a heart of Iris, and dries down to a base of Musk and Violet. Perfume Parlour's Grassy Flower carries a Favourite verdict, a powdery-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's budget version of Jo Malone Iris & Lady Moore, that genteel powdery-iris cologne. It captures the soft talc-and-geranium character but, like the original's already-fleeting wear, fades fast and reads a touch flatter.

About

This is Perfume Parlour's budget interpretation of Jo Malone Iris & Lady Moore, a powdery floral built around iris, geranium and vetiver. It opens green and peppery, with earthy vetiver and the crisp leafy bite of geranium leading the way. The heart is all soft, realistic iris - that vintage dusting-powder character the original is loved for - while a powdery violet facet and clean musk define the drydown. The original was never a powerhouse; its longevity is one of its few weaknesses, turning to a skin scent within a couple of hours. The dupe follows suit and then some, wearing quiet, close and short, with the iris a shade less nuanced and the green facets simplified. For an inexpensive, comforting powdery-floral to reach for on a spring or autumn day, it captures the gentle, elegant spirit of the original at a fraction of the cost.
