Hydro Power opens on a bracing wash of crushed mint and lemon that captures the signature cool-fresh start of Acqua di Gioia. The heart turns watery and floral with jasmine and aquatic notes, before drying to a soft base of cedar, brown sugar and labdanum that lends a gentle sweet warmth. The Armani original is loved for its sheer, dewy Mediterranean character that turns subtly sweet on the drydown; this dupe traces the same arc but reads flatter - the mint is sharper and more synthetic, the watery florals less nuanced, and projection stays modest, going skin-close within a few hours.
