Mostly Musk revives The Body Shop's much-missed 1988 musk oil: it opens a touch woody and lightly spiced before quickly melting into the heart that matters - a soft, seductive skin musk that smells warm and clean against the body. The drydown rounds out with sweet amber and a whisper of sandalwood over a white-musk base, giving it that smouldering, late-80s second-skin character. Straight from the bottle it can read a little sharp, but like the original it blooms after fifteen minutes into a sweet, intimate musk. Reviewers who still own vintage bottles call it a faithful match. As a budget oil it is intimate rather than loud, projecting close to the skin - very much a personal, comforting scent rather than a room-filler. A nostalgic, cosy musk for everyday wear in cooler weather.
