Saffron Secret

Perfume Parlour Saffron Secret is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2025. Saffron Secret opens with Spicy and Saffron, settles into a heart of Saffron and Leather, and dries down to a base of Blond Woods and Amberwood. Perfume Parlour's Saffron Secret carries a Favourite verdict, a warm spicy-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's budget read of Maison Crivelli Safran Secret, the minimalist saffron-and-blonde-woods showpiece. It captures the bold, smooth saffron over warm woods well, though it reads a touch flatter and loses the refined 'burnt-match' nuance and the extrait original's enormous longevity.

About

Saffron Secret follows Maison Crivelli's Safran Secret: a refined, understated woody-spicy built almost entirely around saffron. It opens with warm spices that quickly give way to the star - a bold, smooth saffron that feels rich and slightly leathery rather than aggressive. The drydown is clean, modern blonde woods with a soft amberwood warmth, leaving a polished, expensive-feeling trail. Against the niche original, the PP take captures that saffron-over-woods minimalism faithfully but renders it a little flatter and simpler, missing the subtle 'burnt-match' and high-fabric nuance of the drydown. The original is an extrait with monster 13-16 hour longevity; this budget oil wears warm and present for a few hours but projects and lasts well short of that. A refined, smooth saffron-woody for cooler-weather office, evenings and dressed-up wear.
