The heart carries a soft patchouli, a juicy apple facet and more lavender, keeping it fresh and a little aromatic rather than heavy. The base is the crowd-pleaser - smooth, sweet vanilla cut with dry vetiver - giving that gourmand-fresh contrast Phantom is loved for. Against the original it is less dynamic and less refined: the lavender-vanilla blend is simpler, the unusual rhubarb-cardamom sparkle of the real thing is missing, and projection stays modest, settling skin-close within a couple of hours.
