Sunlight Muse

Perfume Parlour Sunlight Muse is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2023. Sunlight Muse opens with Pink Pepper, Violet Leaf, and Bergamot, settles into a heart of Tuberose, Coconut Water, and Magnolia, and dries down to a base of Sandalwood, Amber, Benzoin, and Cacao Butter. Perfume Parlour's Sunlight Muse carries a Statement verdict, a creamy-led wear.

Perfume Parlour's budget version of Tom Ford Soleil de Feu, the smouldering amber-coconut tuberose. It carries the creamy coconut-cream-and-tuberose heart over a warm amber-cacao base convincingly, though it reads a touch sweeter and less suede-smooth, with shorter staying power than the pricey original.

About

Sunlight Muse follows Tom Ford's Soleil de Feu closely: a soft prickle of pink pepper and violet leaf with bergamot before the heart blooms into creamy tuberose and coconut water rounded by magnolia. This is the signature thick, sunlit coconut-cream effect, warm and a little spicy. The drydown brings sandalwood, amber and benzoin lifted by a touch of cacao, leaving a cosy, sensual trail. Against the original, the PP take leans slightly sweeter and louder on the coconut, while the refined suede-powder facet and the seamless blend of the designer thin out a little, reading a touch more 2D. Performance is decent for a budget oil but falls short of Soleil de Feu's several-hour endurance, sitting closer to the skin sooner. A warm, creamy, golden-hour fragrance for dates and balmy evenings.
