Wavemist Echo

Perfume Parlour Wavemist Echo is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2024. Wavemist Echo opens with Mandarin, Orange, and Lemon, settles into a heart of Watermelon and Coconut, and dries down to a base of Ambergris, Amberwood, and Cacao Butter. Perfume Parlour's Wavemist Echo carries a Favourite verdict, a fruity-led wear.

A budget take on Room 1015's Wavechild - the same candied watermelon and creamy coconut over citrus, drying down to warm amber and cocoa. Wavemist Echo lands that '90s boardwalk fun, but the sweetness reads a touch more synthetic and it stays closer to the skin, missing some of the original's 6-8 hour staying power.

About

Wavemist Echo opens on a zesty splash of mandarin, orange and lemon before diving into its juicy heart: a deliberately candied watermelon wrapped in creamy coconut - the carefree beach signature of Room 1015's Wavechild (2024), perfumer Jerome di Marino's blast of boardwalk nostalgia. As it dries down, the sweetness deepens into a warm base of ambergris, amberwood and a touch of cocoa, lending a surprisingly cosy, slightly vanillic finish. Perfume Parlour's version captures that watermelon-mojito fun convincingly, with the same sugary-aquatic lift and creamy coconut. It reads a fraction more synthetic and the amber base less rounded than the original, and it projects more softly, so it misses some of Wavechild's polish and its moderate-to-good longevity. The effect is uplifting and youthful - a feel-good summer scent. Best in spring and summer, it suits beach days, casual wear, sport and playful dates where its breezy sweetness fits perfectly.
