Potion Paris Sensation is a Parfum launched in 2025. Sensation opens with Lime, Rose, Saffron, and Plum, settles into a heart of Amber, Oud, Lavender, and Incense, and dries down to a base of Musk, Cedar, Vetiver, and Patchouli. Potion Paris's Sensation carries an Acquired verdict, a woody-led wear.

Saffron and rose over smouldering oud and incense, warmed by amber and grounded in cedar, patchouli and vetiver. A spiced, smoky evening oud for cooler months, with long wear and a strong trail.

Showing: Overall Blend

Top, heart and base are the brand's own listing, not a timing claim - the industry classifies a note by its character as much as by how fast it fades. Each curve here is modelled from that material's own volatility, so groups can overlap when a house lists long-lasting materials in its heart.

When To Wear

Best Seasons

Best For:
Fall Winter

Smouldering oud, incense and amber make this a scent for cooler weather: the one season vote is autumn and winter is close behind. Spring and summer get little support.

Best Occasions

Best For:
Date Formal

Strong sillage and a night-time vote suit evenings and dates, and the oud reads dressed-up. It is too bold for most offices and too heavy for sport.

About

Sensation is the house's journey east: saffron and rose struck over smouldering oud, with the glow of a spice market at golden hour. It opens with a quick flash of lime and plum, but the citrus is brief and saffron and rose take the front of the scent almost at once. The heart is where it earns its name. Oud and incense burn low and smoky, held up by amber and softened by a little lavender, so the oud reads warm and resinous rather than dry. The base of cedar, patchouli and vetiver turns earthy and woody, and a touch of musk keeps it close to the skin as it fades. Performance is strong by the reports available: the wearer who rated it calls the wear long lasting and the sillage strong, and the one season vote is autumn. The house frames it as an after-dark scent for cooler weather, which fits the notes. It is a refillable parfum, sold as a 50 ml crystal vial. It suits someone who wants a spiced, smoky oud that is wearable rather than extreme, and who is comfortable making an entrance after dark. It sits closer to the warm, amber-leaning ouds than to the dry, austere woody ones, and at least one buyer chose it as the house's male-leaning option, though nothing in the composition fixes it to one gender.
