No. 490 - Intense takes the same gardenia-coconut-amber skeleton as the standard No. 490 and pushes the concentration up, adding sandalwood and a heavier spice kick from cardamom and pepper. The result is a bolder, warmer impression of Versace Crystal Noir's glamorous darkness, with noticeably better projection than the base version. It still lacks the original's layered complexity and settles into a fairly one-dimensional amber-floral drydown, but for anyone who found the standard dupe too shy, this is the louder, longer-lasting alternative within the same range.
