Inspired by Creed's Green Irish Tweed, No. 411 opens with the same crisp lemon verbena freshness that made the original a benchmark fresh fougère, evoking that invigorating, countryside-walk feel from the very first spray. Violet leaf and iris carry through the heart, tracking the powdery-green character that sets Green Irish Tweed apart from more generic citrus colognes, before settling into a sandalwood base. The opening genuinely captures the spirit of the original well - clean, green and elegant rather than sharp or synthetic. The gap widens in the dry down: Creed's original melts its violet, iris and sandalwood into a smooth, ambergris-tinged base that projects quiet confidence for eight to ten hours, while No. 411's sandalwood finish is noticeably thinner and fades to almost nothing within three to four hours. A solid, wearable fresh fougère for daytime and office wear at a fraction of the price, though it needs reapplication to last through a full day the way the real thing does.
