No. 941 takes on the minimalist challenge posed by Escentric Molecules' Molecule 01, built around the velvety, cedar-like radiance of Iso E Super. Like the original, it works with the wearer's own skin chemistry rather than projecting a conventional perfume, aiming for that same subtle, magnetic aura rather than heavy sillage. Where it diverges is in the supporting cast: a soft amber and musk base is layered underneath to give the composition more conventional structure and a touch more richness, which makes it feel a little more like a normal fragrance and a little less like the stripped-back molecular experiment that made the original famous. The tradeoff is that No. 941 reads slightly more perceptible and warmer on the skin, at the cost of some of Molecule 01's uncanny, barely-there transparency.
