Exquis 10 is The Parfum Hub's take on Penhaligon's Halfeti (2015), a spicy-woody rose-oud release that pairs oud with a creamier, more refined interpretation than the traditional Middle Eastern style. The notes track closely: cypress leaf, saffron, cardamom, bergamot and grapefruit open with a bright, spiced lift, rose, nutmeg and jasmine warm into a rich floral heart, and agarwood, leather, cedar, sandalwood, amber, tonka bean, vanilla and musk build a dense, layered base. The cardamom-saffron-oud combination that reviewers call out as Halfeti's most addictive stretch does come through here, and the rose-nutmeg heart gives it a genuine sense of complexity rather than a flat single-note oud. Where it falls short is the polish - Halfeti's oud is prized for a smooth, non-aggressive quality, and this version's leather and cedar read a touch rougher, with the eight-to-ten-hour longevity some Halfeti wearers report not matched here.
