Muscat Oud

Muscat Oud is a slightly misleading name for what is actually a dupe of Arabian Oud's Madawi, one of the house's best-known fruity-floral fragrances - there's no oud in the real Madawi formula, and this version follows suit with pineapple, orange blossom, patchouli and musk. The pineapple-orange blossom opening is bright and true to the original, capturing the radiant, slightly tropical character that made Madawi a bestseller. Where it falls short is longevity: Madawi has a reputation for lasting the better part of a day on skin, and this budget version's patchouli-musk base fades noticeably within a few hours, leaving mostly a soft clean-musk trail rather than the rounded fruity-floral drydown of the original. A reasonable daytime option if you like the idea of Madawi but don't need all-day performance.
