The Parfum Hub Rose Of Aleppo is a Parfum. Rose Of Aleppo opens with Cinnamon and Spearmint, settles into a heart of Hibiscus, Leather, and Rose, and dries down to a base of Ambrette and Vanilla. The Parfum Hub's Rose Of Aleppo carries a Statement verdict, a floral-led wear.

Rose of Aleppo chases Maison Crivelli's Hibiscus Mahajad's hibiscus-rose-leather signature closely and the mint-cinnamon opening is a fair echo, but the original's rare rose and leather absolutes give it a textured sophistication this budget extrait can't replicate.

About

Rose of Aleppo takes on one of niche perfumery's more distinctive florals, Maison Crivelli's Hibiscus Mahajad, and the note list overlaps well: spearmint and cinnamon up top, then damask rose, hibiscus and leather through the heart, settling into vanilla and ambrette musk. The tart, tea-like hibiscus character that makes the original stand out does come through here, which is the hardest part of this fragrance to fake. What's missing is the leather's grain - Hibiscus Mahajad's Quentin Bisch composition keeps the leather slightly rough and smoky against the sweetness, while this version smooths it into a softer, more generic musk much sooner. A solid extrait-strength gourmand-floral for the price, but the original's edge is what you're paying the premium for.
