Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Intense is an Eau de Toilette launched in 2010. L'Homme Intense opens with Bergamot, Lemon, and Pepper, settles into a heart of Orange Blossom, Violet Leaf, and Artemisia, and dries down to a base of Suede, Woody, Leather, and Cedar. Yves Saint Laurent's L'Homme Intense carries an Acquired verdict, a amber-led wear.

L'Homme Intense (2010) is the original spiced-vanilla concentrated flanker to YSL's L'Homme, built around a warm cardamom, vanilla, and tonka base distinct from the later 2016 L'Homme Parfum Intense reformulation.

About

L'Homme Intense takes the familiar L'Homme signature and pushes it darker and closer to the skin. Bergamot, lemon and a crack of pepper open bright and clean, but the freshness burns off quickly. What follows is the real story: violet leaf and orange blossom over a heart of artemisia, then a base of leather and suede wrapped in cedar, benzoin and ambergris. It reads as polished rather than rugged, the sort of scent that suits a dark suit and low light more than a summer afternoon. Longevity is respectable and the drydown stays intimate, sitting close instead of announcing itself across a room.
