Calice Becker is a French master perfumer renowned for her innovative approach and significant contributions to modern perfumery. Educated at Roure Bertrand Dupont (now Givaudan Perfumery School), Becker is not only the Vice President Perfumer at Givaudan but also serves as the director of the Givaudan Perfumery School. Her fascination with scent began in childhood, inspired by the mystery of how the essence of flowers could be captured in a bottle. This curiosity blossomed into a career marked by creativity and technical mastery, leading to her recognition as one of the most respected figures in the fragrance industry. Becker’s portfolio features a remarkable range of iconic creations for leading global brands, including Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, and By Kilian. She is best known for her work on the legendary J'adore by Dior, a fragrance that has become synonymous with modern femininity. Over her distinguished career, Becker has received multiple prestigious accolades, such as the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Fragrance Foundation, and she has served as president of the International Society of Perfume Creators.
