Douglas Morel

Douglas Morel is a French perfumer born in northern France, where childhood exposure to kitchen spices first sparked his interest in scent. He studied perfumery at ISIPCA in Versailles before beginning an apprenticeship at Takasago, working with Francis Kurkdjian, who taught him to build balanced compositions with carefully chosen raw materials (Morph Parfum, Morph and Studio Aromatic bios). Morel later created compositions for niche and lifestyle brands including Marie-Stella-Maris, for which he co-authored Eau de Parfum Naturelle as a perfumer based in Amsterdam (Marie-Stella-Maris interview; LinkedIn/brand communications).
