Absolute Orchid uses bitter orange, almond, rose, heliotrope, tonka bean, vanilla, tolu balsam and sandalwood; Pure Amber combines citrus notes, cedar, labdanum, benzoin and vanilla. He has also described working with self-grown botanical materials including neroli and petitgrain.

Michele Carnevale is an Italian perfumer associated with Alta Manifattura Cosmetica and Barum Parfum. He created Alta Manifattura Cosmetica's Absolute Orchid and Pure Amber, both launched in 2018. His documented Barum Parfum collaborations include Caldera, launched in 2024 with Grazia Consiglio, and Poseidone Intense, launched in 2022 with Gianluca Baudo and Grazia Consiglio. He has described cultivating plants on an organic farm in his native area, including plants used to obtain neroli and petitgrain essential oils, and using a traditional technique he encountered in Grasse.
