Richard Fraysse

France Born 0 Parfums Caron

Frequently works within Caron’s historical codes, reinterpreting classic floral, amber and fougère structures. Known for modernizing vintage formulas like Pour Une Femme and Bellodgia while preserving their rose, incense and carnation signatures, and for compositions that highlight distinctive notes such as yuzu, rose and warm amber within traditional French perfumery frameworks.

About

Richard Fraysse is a French perfumer best known as in-house perfumer and perfume creator for Parfums Caron, following in the footsteps of his father, André Fraysse. As Caron’s nose he created or reworked numerous fragrances for the house, including L’Anarchiste (Caron, 2000), Montaigne (Caron, 1984, later reformulated), Lady Caron (Caron, 2000) and Yuzu Man (Caron, 2011). He has also been responsible for modern interpretations of Caron classics, such as the 2001 recreation of Caron Pour une Femme (originally 1947) and the updated versions of Pour Un Homme de Caron and Bellodgia, including the flanker Più Bellodgia. His work is closely associated with maintaining and updating the Caron heritage through reformulations and new launches within the brand’s catalogues and collections.
