Within CPL Aromas, Tim Gage is closely involved with naturals, known for his in-depth knowledge of raw materials and their quality evaluation. He has expressed particular appreciation for modern woody-amber ingredients such as Kashmir Fusion, which blends soft, comforting cashmeran facets with a more powerful amber-woody profile. His style reflects a strong technical grounding through prior work in regulation, QC and formulation management.
About
Tim Gage is a British perfumer and Senior Perfumer at CPL Aromas in the UK, where he has worked for well over a decade; CPL celebrated his 15-year anniversary with the company in 2018. His background is in chemistry, and he first entered the industry as a perfumer’s assistant, later gaining experience across regulatory, quality control and formulation management roles, which inform his current creative work. Within CPL he is a key member of the naturals team, evaluating new raw materials and their quality. Gage has received multiple British Society of Perfumers (BSP) Perfumery Excellence Awards, and he served as President of the BSP in 2011.
