About A. N. OTHER

A. N. OTHER is an independent fragrance brand conceived by Miami-based couple Gilad Amozeg and Ariella Appelbaum. The brand launched publicly in December 2017 with four gender-neutral perfumes organized around woody, oriental, floral, and fresh directions. Its founders presented the line as an alternative to conventional fragrance economics, using a direct-to-consumer model and minimalist packaging to keep prices below much of the luxury market.

The brand's working concept is that the perfumer should receive a blank canvas rather than a conventional commercial brief. Its debut scents were created by David Apel, Patricia Bilodeau, Carlos Viñals, and Nathalie Benareau, and the portfolio has since included further releases. A. N. OTHER describes its collection as gender-neutral and states that its perfumes exclude parabens, phthalates, dyes, and animal products. The result is a small, perfumer-led range spanning fresh, floral, woody, oriental, and leather-oriented styles rather than one uniform house signature.

Brand Evolution

The brand began with a 2017 debut collection of four limited-edition perfumes covering fresh, floral, woody, and oriental families. Its later communication and portfolio broadened the concept with additional perfumers and releases while retaining the gender-neutral, small-range, no-brief positioning.

Quick Verdict

A. N. OTHER offers a credible niche alternative for buyers who value composition and accessibility over prestige signaling. Its small portfolio is distinctive in concept, but the brand's range is less consistently recognizable than a house built around one signature style.
