Al Wataniah is a UAE based perfume brand developed under ABC Fragrances, a family business whose roots go back to 1964 in cosmetics and personal care. In an interview with the co owner of ABC Fragrances, he explains that the company first expanded into fragrances around 2013 or 2014, with Al Wataniah positioned as one of their key perfume lines alongside brands like Cool & Cool, Alia, and Grand. Online fragrance databases such as Fragrantica and Parfumo list Al Wataniah as a relatively recent entrant, with the earliest recorded perfume releases appearing from 2019 onward and dozens of launches following in quick succession.

From its own marketing and from retail listings, Al Wataniah focuses on Middle Eastern style compositions that merge traditional oriental accords with widely appealing French inspired structures. The brand highlights long lasting, intense scents aimed at value conscious consumers, with many fragrances framed as affordable alternatives to more expensive designer or niche perfumes while still using recognizable note pyramids like oud, rose, amber, leather, vanilla, and aromatic woods. Collections typically cover both unisex and gender targeted releases, and the range has grown rapidly in export markets via discounters and online platforms, making Al Wataniah a visible player in the mass affordable Arabian segment.
