BLNDRGRPHY
Amsterdam-based niche brand making cocktail-inspired, unisex extraits with bold, story-driven compositions.
BLNDRGRPHY is a Dutch niche fragrance brand founded in 2024 by designer Hyun Yeu in the Netherlands. After more than two decades working as a fashion designer and later in the local perfume industry, Yeu created the brand to merge his love of the Dutch nightlife, cocktail culture, and visual storytelling into a focused perfume project. The label is based in Amsterdam and works with the Flair Paris perfumery team, including perfumer Pauline Jegousse, to develop its scents, which are produced in France.
The debut collection consists of five unisex extraits inspired by specific cocktails, including Jasmine Martini, Patchouli Mojito, Vanilla Mudslide, Amber Negroni, and Santal Painkiller. Each fragrance is constructed as a "liquid cocktail" with layered notes that mirror the structure of mixed drinks, aiming to capture the mood and social atmosphere of nights spent in bars and clubs. BLNDRGRPHY places equal emphasis on olfactory composition and visual design, treating each scent as a narrative object that connects memories, people, and places.
The brand positions itself firmly in the niche segment, with vegan, cruelty-free perfumes focused on quality raw materials, craftsmanship, and a high level of concentration. It has quickly gained international distribution through specialist retailers such as Jovoy, niche boutiques in Japan via Nose Shop, and online niche perfumery platforms. BLNDRGRPHY’s concept, rooted in cocktail mixology and artistic direction, gives it a distinct identity among contemporary niche houses and a strong appeal to fragrance enthusiasts looking for bold, story-driven compositions.
A niche, luxury house known for boozy compositions.
BLNDRGRPHY launched with a tight collection of five cocktail-inspired extraits that clearly articulate its mixology-meets-art concept. Early reception from niche retailers and reviewers highlights the brand’s focus on rich, social-nightlife atmospheres and its ability to translate specific drinks into wearable perfumery. As distribution expands into Europe, Asia, and online niche platforms, the brand is likely to deepen the cocktail theme with further variations while refining balance between sweetness, booziness, and wearability. The core identity as an Amsterdam-based, nightlife-inspired house is already firmly set, so evolution will probably come through nuanced explorations of new cocktail types and broader audience appeal rather than a complete stylistic shift.
BLNDRGRPHY is a strong choice if you enjoy bold, boozy, gourmand-leaning niche scents with a clear concept; if you want understated, classic perfumery, it will likely feel too themed and too rich. The brand is young but already distinctive, and worth sampling before committing given its intensity and price.
