A women-led London scent studio making small-batch, natural-rich perfumes alongside installations and workshops

About dor olfactory

dor olfactory is a London fragrance and sensory studio founded by the perfumer Alina Miron. The name comes from dor, a Romanian word for an intensely complex feeling of missing something or someone, of yearning for an experience past, present or future. The studio says wearing a dor means wearing your heart outside yourself. It is led by women and shaped with a collective of artists, researchers, designers, architects and makers.

Everything is made in the London studio, which also hosts workshops and what the studio calls curious experiences. It uses high concentrations of natural materials, practises slow perfumery and produces in small quantities. The studio also works beyond perfume, on installations and exhibitions with artists and makers, and its fragrances are developed as material traces of those projects.

The first three perfumes, Date With a Shaman, Figure Me Out and Legno Sacro, appeared in 2024, followed by You See Me Too in 2025 and Wabi-Sabi in 2026. The style leans woody, resinous, green and incense-led. Legno Sacro pairs palo santo, tobacco and leather with clary sage, You See Me Too builds a forest of pine, fir, cedar and benzoin, and Figure Me Out sets fig leaf, cardamom and jasmine over skin musk. Date With a Shaman is warmer, with pink pepper, rose and ylang-ylang over amber, sandalwood and tonka bean, and Wabi-Sabi turns to yuzu, green tea, bamboo and incense.

dor olfactory sits at the art end of British niche perfume, as a small studio with a short run of scents. It suits wearers who like conceptual, natural-rich perfume and want to know the people behind it.
