Which Should You Buy?
A powerhouse modern gourmand - Black Opium is an unapologetically bold, sweet, and sultry signature. The coffee-vanilla core is addictive, making it a go-to for nights out or whenever you want to command attention.
The Fragrance World UK's £4.95/30ml interpretation of YSL Black Opium (2014) - the pyramid maps the original's pink pepper opening, coffee heart, and vanilla dry-down. Liverpool dupe-house pricing on a recognisable smell-alike for casual rotation.

Performance
Season and Occasion Fit
Seasons
The deep sweetness, warm spicy notes, and rich coffee-vanilla core make this ideal for colder weather, especially fall and winter. Its heaviness can feel cloying in heat but works nicely in spring evenings.
Occasions
The bold, sweet, and sensual profile is best for dates and nights out, while formal settings suit its opulence. It's too attention-grabbing for the office and not appropriate for sporty or active scenarios.
Seasons
The pink pepper-led opening and vanilla-anchored close mirror the original's seasonal range, though the budget composition fades faster than the YSL bottle in heavier conditions.
Occasions
A budget interpretation that keeps the original's structure - the dupe reads cleaner and shorter, making it best suited to casual rotation rather than as a replacement for the YSL signature.
