Yougi works exclusively with natural essential oils, which makes it the clearest counterpoint to the aroma-chemical workshops elsewhere on this list. Ninety minutes, £55, and you blend from over thirty 100% natural oils and pour two 15ml fragrances to take home. Two bottles from a session this short and this cheap is unusually generous.

Emily Lynam founded it in 2019 after yoga training in India, coming from a buying background rather than a perfumery one, and the botanical-wellness framing runs through everything. There are two London studios - Fashion Street in Shoreditch and Connaught Street near Marble Arch - so it is easy to reach from most of central London, and the Connaught Village business district lists it as an active local host.

Be clear-eyed about naturals. Working only with essential oils is a real discipline with a real following, but it is a constraint, not automatically a virtue: the modern perfumery palette is largely aroma-chemicals, and many of the notes you love in a bottle you own cannot be made from naturals at all. Natural does not mean hypoallergenic either - plenty of essential oils are potent sensitisers. What you get here is a specific, coherent approach taught well, not a purer version of the same thing.

Groups are catered for properly - up to twenty in a session, and private bookings up to 150 in a remote format - which makes this the obvious pick for a team event where you still want people to leave with something they made.
