Cheaper
CheaperThe gap between the two per-100ml rates. Read it as a price gap, not money saved - a dupe is a different fragrance that smells close, not the same thing at a lower price.
Match
▼MatchHow closely the dupe matches the original in character, from the notes and accords they share. Not a molecule-for-molecule copy.
Prices are per 100ml, not per bottle. Designers sell 50ml for £90 and dupe houses sell 100ml for £5, so bottle prices compare nothing - a rate compares like with like, as unit pricing does on a supermarket shelf. It is a rate, not a purchasable price. Where a listing declares no bottle size, we show its price marked with an asterisk instead. "Cheaper" is the gap between the two rates.
Dupes are independent fragrances inspired by the originals - not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by them. A dupe smells close; it is not the same thing cheaper, so read the percentage as a price gap, not money saved. Prices are the cheapest live UK listing we hold and change often. How we score similarity. See which originals get cloned most in the Dupe Chart, or which brands clone them best in the Dupe League.
Perfume dupes: common questions
What is a perfume dupe?
A dupe is an independent fragrance made to smell like a more expensive one. It copies the scent, not the brand name, bottle, or logo - so it is legal, because a smell itself cannot be trademarked. Dupes are also called clones, smell-alikes, or "inspired by" fragrances.
How much cheaper are perfume dupes?
Across the 7,795 pairs in this index the dupe is, on average, 75% cheaper per 100ml than the original it copies. Some clones cost a tenth of the designer; a few are only slightly less. Every row shows the exact gap for that pair.
Are perfume dupes any good, and are they worth it?
It depends on the pair. A close match at a fraction of the price is a genuine win; a weak clone of an already-cheap original is not. Each pair carries a similarity score compiled from community reviews, and the verdict on whether it is worth buying sits on its comparison page.
Where can I buy perfume dupes in the UK?
From the dupe houses themselves and the UK retailers that stock them. Every row links to the cheapest live UK listing we hold for that clone. Search or filter the table above by the designer you want a dupe of, or by the dupe house.
