Scent Profile
White_floral leads on the source's own first phrase, 'white floral and jasmine tones', and on the note's White flowers group placement. It is held at 0.62 rather than higher because a jasmine-adjacent material with anise and saffron in it is not a clean indolic white flower. Floral carries the part of that phrase that is not specifically jasmine. Aromatic_herbal is the anise and licorice pair the source names, plus the basil, all three of which sit in that facet. Warm_spice carries the saffron and the opoponax, and it is the weakest of the four leads because saffron and opoponax pull in different directions and the source gives no order between them. Everything below that is inference from the same one sentence and is set low with a spread of 0.16 to 0.20.

Origin
Unsettled, and the two records disagree. The note-curation payload records Belanis as a botanical. The only source that could be fetched, the Findascent note page, says the opposite: it was 'created synthetically to bypass certain fragrance regulations', which describes an aroma chemical or a compounded base built as a replacer for a restricted natural. No CAS number, manufacturer, or primary documentation was reached. A ResearchGate figure captioned 'The synthesis of Belanis' was found and returned 403, which is weak support for the synthetic reading and nothing more. Whoever owns referent_type should settle this before the note ships.
Usage in Perfumery
A heart-note floral material. Attested 3 times on Fragrantica, absent from the Parfumo note list, and classified there under White flowers. That group placement is the only independent check on the white-floral lead, and it is a classification rather than a description.
